Falcons Lose Close 3-0 Contest to Rivier

The Albertus Magnus baseball team fell to Rivier 3-0 in game two of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) doubleheader in Nashua, N.H.  Rivier improves to 9-13 on the year and 5-4 in league play, while Albertus falls to 9-12 overall and 3-5 in the GNAC.

Lucas Palma picked up his second win of the season with a complete-game shutout.  He gave up four hits and struck out three batters.

J.J. Montello led the Raiders once again as he was 1-for-3 with two RBI, including a double. Six different Raiders picked up hits in the contest as well.

Albertus was led by four players with one hit apiece.

Anthony Pellegrino (Branford, Conn.) fell to 1-2 with the loss on the hill for the Falcons. He allowed one earned run on six hits in six innings of work.

Albertus will head to Mitchell College on Wednesday for non-conference games beginning at 2:00 p.m.
