WINTHROP, Mass. - Sean Jefferson (West Haven, Conn.) was named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Conference Second Team, as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.
After a dominant senior campaign, Jefferson was named to the All-Conference Second Team after earning Third Team accolades in the 2022 season. The senior standout tied for the conference lead with a career-high nine home runs, while posting career-highs in every statistical category. Over 34 games for the Falcons, Jefferson connected for 43 hits, including nine doubles and nine home runs. He scored 32 runs and drove in 31 RBI, while compiling a slash line of .361/.442/.664. Jefferson also made five appearances on the mound for the Falcons, posting a 2-1 record. He hurled one complete game and pitched a career-high 21.1 innings with nine strikeouts. Jefferson was also a standout defender for the blue-and-white, collecting 50 putouts in the outfield, while throwing out four base runners and recording a fielding percentage of .982.
Senior catcher Anthony Broadhurst (Stratford, Conn.) was named as the Falcon representative to the All-Sportsmanship Team. In his 20 appearances for the Falcons, he recorded a .294/.439/.412 slash line while compiling a career-high 15 hits and six doubles. Broadhurst also tallied seven runs and 10 RBI on the season. Broadhurst went a perfect 15-for-15 in chances and recorded a 1.000 fielding percentage.
