NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Eric Galarza (Bridgeport, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College baseball team and Paige Scheid of the softball team were each named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Weekly honor roll for their performance during their Spring Break trips.

Galarza went 4-for-11 with three walks from the plate for a .500 on-base percentage. He also drove in three runs and scored three runs. In the team's first game of the season, a 12-4 win over King's (Pa.), Galarza went 3-for-5 including his first career home run and scored three times. Against Catholic University on March 10, Galarza went 1-for-3, including a triple and drove in three runs.

Scheid's bat helped the softball start the season 2-0. She went 3-for-7 driving in three runs and scoring four times while stealing two bases.

In a 10-2 win over Wilmington (Ohio) in the season opener on March 10, Scheid went 1-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored to go with two stolen bases. Later that day in a 12-6 win over Saint Mary's (Ind.), Scheid went 2-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored.
