New Haven, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College field hockey team fell at home to The Sage Colleges by a score of 7-0 in non-conference play at Celentano Field. The Falcons were led defensively by freshman Mikayla Lyston (Medford, N.Y.), who recorded her third 20-plus save performance.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Gators opened the game's scoring with a Micalli Johnston tally 3:05 into the first quarter. Johnston gave the road team a 2-0 lead with her second score of the day over three minutes later.

Sage built its advantage to 5-0 heading into halftime, with three second-quarter scores. Kathryn Gallagher posted two of the three goals in the quarter, bookmarking a goal from Charity Rushinski.

The second half proved stronger for the Falcons' defense, as they held the Gators to 19 shots, eight on goal. Lyston was at her best in the second and third quarters, recording 14 of her 21 saves in the middle two quarters.
