The Albertus Magnus men's basketball team shot 61.3-percent from the floor in the second half en route to an 88-71 Great Northeast Athletic Conference victory at Emmanuel on Thursday night. Tonight's win marks the Falcons' 11th-straight since Dec. 8.

Darius Watson (New Britain, Conn.) led all scorers with 32 points as he shot 15-of-22 from the field.  Ray Askew (Hamden, Conn.) tallied his third-straight double-double with 23 points and 15 rebounds as well for the Falcons.

Watson finished the game a perfect 8-of-8 from the field in the second 20 minutes of play, while Askew grabbed 11 rebounds and scored 14 points in the second half alone.

Emmanuel's largest lead of the game was five points, an advantage they held into the middle of the first half, but the Falcons battled back - eventually taking a 38-30 lead with less than four minutes left until intermission. At the break, the Falcons led by four thanks to 16 first-half points from Watson.

The Falcons extended their lead to their largest of the night at 18 with 7:03 left in regulation before cruising to the conference victory. On the night, the Falcons out-rebounded the Saints 49-30.

Askew is now just 27 points shy of hitting the 2,000-mark plateau as he currently has 1,973 points in his career.
