Winthrop, Mass. - For the third week in a row, senior forward Jaqhawn Walters (Hartford, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College men's basketball team was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Corvias Player of the Week, announced by the league on Monday afternoon.

In a 2-1 week for the Falcons, Walters averaged 28.7 points and 17.3 rebounds while shooting 57.9% (33-57 FG, 20-28 FT) overall. Walters opened the week by scoring a career-high 40 points on 16-of-22 shooting with 14 boards in a loss at Keene State. Two days later, Walters posted a career-high 24 rebounds to go with 22 points in a road win over Mitchell before wrapping up the week with a 24-point, 14-rebound double-double in a GNAC win over Norwich.

The men's basketball team resumes play this Saturday, Dec. 16 against No. 23 New Jersey City. Tip-off is slated for 3 p.m. in New Haven, Conn.
