New Haven, Conn. – Sophomore Jahmerikah Green-Younger (Norwalk, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College men's basketball team netted a career-high 22 points as the Falcons remain undefeated in the GNAC after defeating Suffolk University, 81-65, Saturday afternoon at the Cosgrove Marcus Messer Athletic Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Albertus Magnus opened the game with the quick 11-3 lead just three minutes in, forcing the visiting Rams' to call a timeout to regroup. Over the next couple of minutes, the Rams went on a 10-7 stretch to cut the deficit to five, 18-13, at the midway point.

Albertus Magnus rebuilt its double-digit edge, but the determination of the Rams kept the visitors in the contest, 33-32, with 3:31 remaining. The Falcons flew out to another six-point edge before heading into the locker room up four, 40-36.

Jim Djema opened the second stanza with a monster three to trim the margin to one before Thomas Duffy gave the visitors a 41-40 lead at the 18:59 minute mark. The lead was exchanged four times with the score tying once before Albertus Magnus regained control of the contest at 46-45 thanks to a layup by Maddred.

Maddred's bucket jump started the Falcons, who went up by 10, 57-47, with 11:34 to play. Suffolk attempted a comeback once again and pulled within seven twice, with 5:03 on the clock.

Albertus took a timeout to cool off the Rams as the visitors went cold and did not score over the final 3:05.

• Brendan Mulson paced the Rams' offense with a team-high 19 points while Michael Hagopian rounded out the double-digit scorers with 15 points.
• This game saw a total of eight lead changes and one tie.
• Albertus Magnus held a 46-39 advantage in rebounding as well as scored 21 of its 81 points on second chance baskets.
