Winthrop, Mass. - For the fourth this season, senior forward Jaqhawn Walters (Hartford, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College men's basketball team was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Corvias Player of the Week, announced by the league on Monday afternoon.

In a 3-0 week, Walters averaged 29.0 points and 17.3 rebounds while shooting an impressive 60.7% (35-56 FG, 19-27 FT) from the floor and 70.4% (19-27) from the charity strip. Walters opened the week scoring 32 points, 18 rebounds and four assists in the win over Mount Ida. Two days later, the senior forward posted 28 points and 20 rebounds a road win over Rivier before wrapping up the week with a 27-point, 14-rebound double-double in a GNAC win over Emmanuel.

Albertus Magnus returns to the court on Tuesday, Jan. 16 as the Falcons take on Middlebury in a non-conference showdown beginning at 7 p.m.
