New Haven, Conn. – Ending the 2019-20 regular season on a six-game win streak, the Albertus Magnus College men's basketball team continued to receive votes in the latest edition of the D3Hoops.com Top 25 Poll, making its eighth appearance in the rankings this season on Monday.

The Falcons are no strangers to the D3Hoops.com Top 25, as they have been ranked as high as No. 18 this year. Albertus was ranked or received votes in six consecutive polls between Dec. 10 and Jan. 27, in addition to cracking the ballot in each of the last two weeks. The D3hoops.com Top 25 is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, Sports Information Directors and media members from across the country, and is published weekly.

Albertus concluded the regular season with a 20-4 overall record and a 9-2 mark in league play on its way to the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament. This past week, the Falcons rolled to a 97-82 win over Emmanuel (Mass.) College on Tuesday on Senior Night, before topping Anna Maria College, 98-79, on the road on Saturday to solidify their league standing.

As has been a trend all season for the Falcons, they continue to rank among the top 10 nationally in several statistical categories as a team. Albertus is fourth in the country in offensive rebounds per game (16.4), seventh in both rebounds per game (44.5) and free-throw attempts (635), and eighth in both scoring offense (91.4 PPG) and steals per game (10.8).

The Falcons will begin their pursuit of the program's ninth GNAC Championship at home against the No. 7 seed Suffolk University on Tuesday, Feb. 25. The quarterfinal matchup is slated to tip-off at 7 p.m.
