WINTHROP, Mass. - Graduate student Terry Dawkins (Bronx, N.Y.) of the Albertus Magnus College men's basketball team was tabbed as this week's Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.
Dawkins led the Falcons in a 3-0 week for Albertus, averaging 20.7 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game. The graduate forward shot an impressive 57.8% (26-45) from the floor, kicking off the week with 21 points and seven rebounds against JWU on the road. He wrapped up the week by posting back-to-back double-doubles, beginning with 15 points and 10 rebounds in a 73-70 non-conference overtime win over Conn. College. In a 76-64 win over Dean College, Dawkins recorded a season-high in both points (26) and rebounds (15) while shooting 66.7% (10-15) from the field.
The Falcons will travel to Chicopee, Mass., on Wednesday, January 25th, to challenge the Blazers of Elms College in a GNAC showdown. Tip-off is set for 7 PM inside the Maguire Center.
