NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Graduate student Terry Dawkins (Bronx, N.Y.) of the Albertus Magnus College men's basketball team has been named to the NABC (National Association of Basketball Coaches) Division III All-District Second Team and the D3Hoops.com All-Region Second Team, as announced by their respective organizations on Tuesday. 

Dawkins, who was named to the All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) First Team, was an unstoppable force for the Falcons this season, averaging a career-high 17.3 points and 8.0 rebounds per game, which ranked him third in the GNAC. This season he also recorded a career-high in steals per game (1.3 spg), defensive rebounds per game (4.8 drpg), offensive rebounds per game (3.2), field goal percentage (55.6%), and points per game (17.3 ppg). In addition, he tallied 25 games with 10+ points, including nine games with 20+ points, and posted 10 double-doubles. Dawkins also became the 19th player in program history to score 1,000 career points on Jan. 14 against Lasell University. Lastly, Dawkins led the Falcons to a GNAC Championship over St. Joseph (CT) and was named MVP of the GNAC Tournament in the process.

Players for the D3hoops.com all-region teams were nominated for these awards by the Sports Information Directors at the various schools, and schools and conferences were each contacted multiple times as the season wound down to remind them to make their players eligible. There were 798 players nominated nationwide. The ballot was then made available to SIDs, who voted for a predetermined number of players in their region. 

The National Association of Basketball Coaches announced the 2023 NABC Coaches' Division III All-District teams and coaches, recognizing the best men's collegiate basketball student-athletes and coaches in the division, selected by member coaches of the NABC in NCAA Division III.
