Washington, Scott Named To GNAC All-Tournament Teams

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Justice Washington (Hamden, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College men's basketball team and Caitlyn Scott (White Plains, N.Y.) of the women's basketball team were both named to the All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference tournament team after their performances last week in the quarterfinals and semifinals.

Washington averaged 27 points and 13.5 rebounds over the two games. In the quarterfinals win over Regis, he scored 22 points while grabbing 10 rebounds. In the semifinals against Saint Joseph's (Me.), he had a career-high 32 points on 15-for-32 shooting with 17 rebounds. It is the second consecutive season Washington was named to the All-Tournament team.

Scott averaged 27 points on 57.6 percent shooting with four rebounds and 3.5 assists in her two games in the tournament. In a win over New England College in the quarterfinals, Scott scored 31 points on 10-for-17 shooting with four rebounds and three assists. She also went 4-for-7 from three. Against the University of Saint Joseph on February 22, Scott scored 23 poins on 9-for-16 shooting with four assists and four rebounds.
