Choiniere, Buck Tagged with GNAC Weekly Honors

Albertus Magnus men's lacrosse players Mike Choiniere (Bethany, Conn.) and Greg Buck (Berlin, Conn.) have been recognized by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) for their efforts during play last week.  Choiniere was named the GNAC Player of the Week, while Buck was named the GNAC Rookie of the Week.

Choiniere tallied nine goals and eight assists on the week for 17 points to lead Albertus in a 1-1 week.  In a 26-12 win over Daniel Webster, the sophomore attack tallied seven goals and six assists.  Choiniere took 15 shots with 12 being on goal, while collecting five groundballs.  In a loss to Lasell, the sophomore tallied two goals and two assists, being involved in four of the Falcons' six goals scored. 

On the year, Choiniere leads the Falcons with 50 points and 22 assists. He also has 28 goals scored.

Buck tallied a team-high 12 goals on the week to go along with three assists for 15 points.  The Berlin, Conn. native picked up six ground balls and took 22 shots with 18 being on goal.  In the Falcons' 26-12 win over Daniel Webster, Buck led the team with nine goals and three assists.  The rookie tallied 14 shots in the game with 12 coming on goal.  In the Falcons' 20-6 loss to Lasell, Buck scored three goals. 

Buck now has a team-best 37 goals on the year and leads the GNAC in that category.
