Choiniere Earns GNAC All-Conference Honors

Sophomore Mike Choiniere (Bethany, Conn.) has been named to the 2014 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Conference Second Team as announced by the league office on Monday. He is the first-ever Falcon to earn GNAC All-Conference honors as it was the Falcons' first-ever varsity season.

Choiniere finished the regular season ranked fourth in the GNAC with 39 goals on the year and ranked second in the league with 31 assists as well as 70 points.

He was ranked in the top-25 in the nation in Division III with 3.08 goals per game and 2.42 assists per game. He was named the GNAC Player of the Week on March 25, March 31, and April 8 and was the ECAC Offensive Player of the Week on March 26 and April 9. He was also named to the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll on April 16.

Choiniere's 10 goals scored on March 20 in a win over Lyndon State stands as the most goals scored in a single game by an individual player in Division III men's lacrosse this season.  His 14 points in that game also stand as the highest in Division III this season as well.

Additionally, Justin Bennet was named to the 2014 GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

The Falcons finished their inaugural season with a 3-10 overall record with wins over GNAC opponents Daniel Webster and Anna Maria as well as Lyndon State.
