The Albertus Magnus College Department of Athletics released its 2015 men's lacrosse schedule on Thursday as the upcoming season marks just the second in program history.

The Falcons are coming off of a 3-10 showing in their first-ever season in 2014 and look to continue to build the program under the leadership of head coach Darryl Delia.

Albertus will play 14 games this season with six being in New Haven.  Four of those six home contests are Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match-ups as well.

Albertus open the 2015 season with three-straight road contests beginning with a 6:00 p.m. match-up at Emerson on Tuesday, March 3. After a road game at Massachusetts Maritime on March 7, the Falcons open GNAC play at Norwich on March 14.

The Falcons' home opener will be played on Tuesday, March 17 at 3:30 p.m. against Coast Guard on the turf field. The game against the Bears is the first of a three-game home stretch for the Falcons.  Albertus will host Regis College of Massachusetts on March 26 at 3:00 p.m. before hosting its first GNAC game of the season as the Falcons will welcome Saint Joseph's College of Maine to New Haven on Saturday, March 21 for a 2:30 p.m. contest.

The Falcons will host three more GNAC contests, including an April 11 match-up against defending GNAC Champion Emmanuel College. The Saints won their first-ever men's lacrosse title in 2014 and finished that season with an impressive record of 15-4 after going 10-0 in league play.

That contest against the Saints will be the final regular-season home game for the Falcons as they will finish out the regular season with three-straight road games.  After games at Anna Maria and Lyndon State, the Falcons will head to Nashua, N.H. to take on the Rivier University Raiders in their last regular-season contest on April 18.

The GNAC Tournament will kick off on April 21 with play on Tuesday and Thursday and then the Championship game on Saturday, April 25.  The top six teams of the nine total squads in the conference make the postseason tournament.
