Nashua, N.H. – The Albertus Magnus College men's lacrosse team concluded the 2017 regular season with a 18-4 loss to Rivier University on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons end the 2017 season with an overall record of 3-12 and a GNAC record of 0-8.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Rivier took control of the opening 15 minutes of play as the Raiders held a 3-0 lead heading into the second period. The Raiders were led offensively by Colby Larson who scored back-to-back goals just 41 seconds a part.

Down 9-0, junior Brennan Moore (Meriden, Conn.) found sophomore James Bay (Branford, Conn.) for his 31st goal of the season as well as the Falcons' first goal of the game at the 4:40 mark. Larson would strike again for the Raiders to improve the score to 10-1, but Moore would score with 55 seconds remaining after a short pass from Christopher Magnifico (Glastonbury, Conn.). With the clock ticking down, Magnifico would get one more shot off, but was unsuccessful as the Falcons' trailed 10-2 heading into halftime.

Rivier would score two-straight goals to open the third before Nikko Ames (Sunderland, Mass.) found the back of the net for his second goal of the season, bringing the score to 12-3.

Less than a minute later, May would score the Falcons' fourth goal of the game to bring the score to 12-4, but over the final 18 minutes of regulation Rivier would secure the win 18-4, following a 6-0 run.
