NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Jeremy Tremblay (Orford, Quebec) of the Albertus Magnus College men's lacrosse team was named to the All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Rookie team and the All-Conference Third Team on Tuesday. Matt Bouchard (Berlin, Conn.) was named to the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
Tremblay had a standout rookie season at Albertus, appearing all 15 games and scoring at least one goal in every game. He finished his season with a team-high 35 goals to go with 10 assists, 27 ground balls and nine caused turnovers.
Twice this season Tremblay scored five goals in a game, including a 16-9 win over Mitchell on April 3 for the team's first GNAC win of the season. He also added three assists for a season-high eight points.
In a 13-6 loss to Johnson and Wales on April 17, he scored five of the team's goals. Tremblay also had a four-goal performance against Rivier and two three-goal games.
It is the seventh time an Albertus men's lacrosse player made an All-Conference first, second or third team, and the third time a Falcon made the All-Rookie team. He is the first Albertus Magnus men's lacrosse player to make both teams in a season.
Bouchard appeared in all 15 games this season with 11 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers on defense.
