Coast Guard scored three goals in the second half of play to go on to defeat the Albertus Magnus men's soccer team 3-1 in non-conference action on Wednesday night in New London. John Tarzian scored two goals, while Greg Kennerley tallied assists on all three goals scored for the Bears.

With the loss, the Falcons move to 11-2-2 on the year as the defeat breaks an 11-game unbeaten streak that the Falcons held since Sept. 8.

The Bears improved to 8-3-1 on the year as they avenged a 3-2 overtime loss to the Falcons from the 2011 season.

Senior Stephen Zapata (Hamden, Conn.) scored the Falcons' lone goal of the contest in the 61st minute, his team-leading ninth of the season.

Donato Piroscafo (Naugatuck, Conn.), who was tagged as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Goalkeeper of the Week on Monday, made five saves for the Falcons in 90 minutes of work. Coast Guard's Richie Burns registered three saves in net, while allowing one goal in his eighth win of the season.

The Falcons will take on Lasell College on Saturday in a 3:00 p.m. contest on the road. Lasell is 12-1 on the year as the Lasers own a 7-0 league record.
