Freshman Alexis Garcia (West Haven, Conn.) and senior Donato Piroscafo (Naugatuck, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus men's soccer team have earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Weekly Honors.  Garcia was tagged as the GNAC Rookie of the Week, while Piroscafo was named Goalkeeper of the Week, respectively.

Garcia leads the Falcons with five goals and one assist on the year for 11 points. On the week, the Falcons went 2-0 as he registered two goals and one assist.  He tallied eight shots with four being on goal as well. In the Falcons' 2-0 win at Western Connecticut, he tallied one goal and assisted on the game-winner.  On Saturday, in the Falcons' first home victory of the season, he also tallied a goal, his team-leading fifth of the season. 

Piroscafo registered back-to-back shutouts in net for the Falcons.  He tallied one save on the lone shot that he faced in goal against Rivier on Saturday.  He tallied six saves on Wednesday on the road at Western Connecticut State University.

Albertus will host Coast Guard on Tuesday afternoon in a 3:30 p.m. non-conference contest.
