Freshman Alexis Garcia (West Haven, Conn.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday.

Garcia, who earns the honor for the third time this season, helped the Falcons to a 1-1 week where he scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over Anna Maria College on Saturday.  Four of his seven total shots were on target during the week, while at Suffolk on Oct. 14, he assisted on both goals scored in the Falcons' 4-2 loss.

On the year, he leads the team with 15 points on six goals and three assists.

Garcia and the Falcons will host Johnson & Wales (R.I.) on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.  The Wildcats enter the contest with an 11-1-3 overall record and a 4-1-2 mark in conference play.
