Senior Riker Mitchell (Naugatuck, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus men's soccer team has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for Division III District 2.  Mitchell is now a finalist for Academic All-America honors as well.

Mitchell, who is majoring in accounting, is the first Albertus Magnus men's soccer player to earn this noteworthy honor under head coach Jim Bernardo. Mitchell has also been a consistent member on the College's Dean's List.

This season, the Falcons are 11-5-2 overall and are heading into the postseason this weekend as Albertus is the fourth seed in the 2014 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament.  The Falcons face fifth-seeded Mount Ida on Saturday in a 1:30 p.m. contest.
