2014 ECAC DIII New England Information

The Albertus Magnus men's soccer team will play in the 2014 ECAC DIII New England Championship Tournament set to begin on Wednesday, Nov. 12. The fifth-seeded Falcons will face fourth-seeded Colby-Sawyer at 2:00 p.m. in New London, N.H. in the ECAC Quarterfinal Round.

The Falcons and the Chargers have identical 11-6-2 overall records.

Norwich University took the top seed with a 13-6 overall record after falling to the 2014 GNAC Champion Johnson & Wales (R.I.) in the league tournament final on Saturday.

In the first round, all on Wednesday, the Cadets will host Lesley (10-6), while the No. 7 seed Elms College (9-8) will travel to Beverly, Mass. to take on second-seeded Endicott College (9-7).  Bridgewater State earned the third seed at 10-8 on the year and will play host to Curry College (10-9).

The winners of Wednesday's contests will advance to the semifinals on Saturday, Nov. 15, hosted by the highest remaining seed.

The winner of the #1/#8 match-up will face the winner of the Falcons vs. Chargers in one semifinal, while the winner of the #2/#7 will take on the winner of the #3/#6 match-up.  The semifinal winners will meet on Sunday, Nov. 16 for the championship contest at the same site.
