Following today's win, the Falcons remain undefeated in conference play, 3-0, while the Chargers drop to 0-2.

BOX SCORE

HOW IT HAPPENED
Colby-Sawyer was the first team to strike and did so within the first 13 minutes of play. Mason Galbato was able to put the ball in the lower right corner of the net following a feed from one of his teammates, giving the Chargers the 1-0 edge early on.

Albertus Magnus threatened as the game approached the 25th-minute as the Falcons recorded back-to-back shot attempts from Johan Stagnaro (East Hartford, Conn.) and Declan Ryan (Hamden, Conn.). A Charger defender was able to block Stagnaro's shot attempt at the right time, while Ryan's shot was saved by the keeper, eliminating the game-tying attempts.

The Falcons' defense backstopped by Garfield Robinson (West Haven, Conn.) held off a persistent Charger offense from scoring to preserve the 1-0 score at the half.

The visiting Falcons made a comeback and leveled the playing field at 1-1 at the 57th-minute mark. Junior Anthony Barreira (Trumbull, Conn.) netted his first of the season, scoring in the lower right corner of the net on a feed from classmate Kelvin Cortez (Meriden, Conn.).

Even at 1-1, Albertus wasted no time following Barreira's tally as Arian Bobi (Amity, Conn.) drew two Charger defenders and found an open Abdoul Aremu (West Haven, Conn.). The senior forward found the lower right corner to put the Falcons in front, 2-1, in the second stanza.

With the clock ticking down, Albertus' offense didn't let up as the visitors took a 3-1 lead at the 72nd minute. Rookie Fillipe Mouroa (Milford, Conn.) scored his first collegiate goal after taking advantage offensively as a Charger defender, and their goalkeeper collided in front of the net.

Colby-Sawyer attempted a comeback rallying off six shot attempts, including a shot on goal from Couper Gunn, following the Falcons' final goal of the game, but the hosts were unsuccessful against a solid defensive unit.
