HOW IT HAPPENED
Albertus attacked the Regis defense right from the start, advancing the ball into a scoring opportunity in the third minute as Cortez's first shot of the game needed to be cleared away by Pride defender Brevin Frankel. Shortly after, Abdoul Aremu (West Haven, Conn.) stole the ball from the hosts and launched a shot in the lower-left corner of the net to give the Falcons the early advantage. With the clock ticking down, both Albertus and Regis continued trading shot attempts, but neither team was able to find the back of the net, and the Falcons remained ahead by one at the half.

Albertus wasted no time in the second, scoring within the first two minutes to double their lead over the Pride, 2-0. With Cortez dribbling up the pitch, Carlos Lopez (Bridgeport, Conn.) took up perfect position on his flank and easily sent the Cortez pass into the net for the score. The Falcons continued to apply pressure and kept the Pride on their toes, firing off another three shots over the next eight minutes.

The teams continued battling back-and-forth for the ball until the 62nd-minute when a double foul by the Pride resulted in a Cortez penalty kick. Cortez didn't disappoint, firing the ball through the posts to give the visitors the 3-0 advantage.

Five minutes later, Denis Blandon (Meriden, Conn.) got in on the fun, scoring his first career goal and increasing the visitor lead to 4-0. Less than two minutes later, the Falcons scored again, this time at the hands of Fillipe Mouroa (Milford, Conn.), who took the pass from Allan Fernandez (Ansonia, Conn.) and deposited it through the goalposts to increase the lead to 5-0.

The Falcons didn't have to wait long for their sixth goal to light up on the scoreboard, as Orantay Blake (Hamden, Conn.) scored at the 74th-minute.

With the deficit increased to six and the clock down to its final 10 minutes, Regis was unable to mount any sort of comeback, falling to the Falcons at home on Senior Night.
