The Albertus Magnus men's tennis team fell to Mitchell College 7-2 on Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action in New London, Conn. Matt Mezzei (Wallingford, Conn.) led the Falcons with a No. 4 singles' match win as he defeated Randy Coons 6-0 and 6-2.

The Falcons' (1-3) Marcus Artaiz (Hamden, Conn.) fell in a close No. 2 singles' match as Zach Simmons defeated Artaiz with scores of 6-3, 3-6, 6-0.

Mezzei was the lone Falcon to win in singles play, while Elvis Santana (Bronx, N.Y.) and Ahmed Abdulateef (Hamden, Conn.) won No. 3 doubles with a dominating 8-1 win over Mitchell's Tim Atkinson and Chris McKeon.

The Falcons will host Emerson on Saturday, March 30 in a 1:00 p.m. league match.
