Pete Zacharias (North Haven, Conn.) and freshman Jeff Pellegrino (Meriden, Conn.) have received weekly honors by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) as Zacaharias has been named the GNAC Player of the Week, while Pellegrino was named Rookie of the Week by the league.

The Falcons are off to a 3-0 start to the season after wins over CCNY, Lesley and Wheelock.

On the week, Zacharias went a perfect 4-0 to lead the Falcons to a 2-0 week. He started the week with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over the #1 for Lesley then worked with Pellegrino at #1 doubles to earn an 8-3 victory. He finished the week with a 6-1, 6-3 victory at #1 singles and an 8-4 #1 doubles win against CCNY.

Pellegrino, who teamed up with Zacharias in both those doubles' victories, also dominated his singles' play as he won in #3 singles in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1 against Lesley.  He continued his stellar start to his collegiate career with a 6-3, 6-1 victory over CCNY's #3 singles' player.
