Freshman Jeff Pellegrino (Meriden, Conn.) has been named the ECAC Division III New England men's tennis Rookie of the Week, as announced by the ECAC on Wednesday.

Pellegrino was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week on Monday after leading the Falcons to a 3-0 start to the 2015 season.

On the week, Pellegrino dominated singles' play as he won #3 singles in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1 against Lesley early in the week before continuing his stellar start to the season with a 6-3, 6-1 win over CCNY.

In doubles' action, he and Pete Zacharias (North Haven, Conn.) partnered up in the #1 spot to earn an 8-3 victory against Lesley.  Later in the week, the pair earned an 8-4 win over CCNY.
