Men's Tennis Picked Fourth in the South Division in the GNAC Preseason Poll

Winthrop, Mass. - The Albertus Magnus College men's tennis team was picked to finish fourth in the South Division in the 2018 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Preseason Poll. The poll, which was released on Tuesday afternoon, is voted on by the league's eight head coaches.

The Falcons, who are coming off a record of 2-10 last spring, earned eight points to finish 11-point behind third-place Rutgers-Camden. Rutgers-Newark finished second on the South side with 21 points while Ramapo received all eight first-place votes to land at the top with 32 points.

Regis (Mass.) received five first-place nods and 29 points to take the top slot in the GNAC North Division. Behind the Pride was Johnson & Wales, who finished with two first-place votes and 25 points to claim second. Norwich finished next in the poll in third with 14 points and the final first-place vote while Suffolk rounded out the poll with 12 points.

Founded in 1995, the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) is an NCAA Division III association made up of 13 member institutions and nearly 4,000 student-athletes across the New England region. Each year, the GNAC sponsors and administers 20 championships, while balancing academic integrity, athletic opportunities and community involvement.
