For the second time this season, Brendan Charamut (Southington, Conn.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week, while Carlos Torres (Adjuntas, Puerto Rico) has earned a spot on the weekly honor roll.

Charamut, who has also been tagged as the GNAC Player of the Week twice this season, led the Falcons with 74 kills on the week. The sophomore averaged 4.62 kills per set and tallied a team-best .242 hitting percentage. Charamut added seven assists, 18 digs and six total blocks for the Falcons.

Against Johnson & Wales on Saturday, Charamut tallied a career-high 29 kills in the Falcons' 3-2 come-from-behind victory.

Torres dished out 158 assists on the week as he averaged 10.53 per set. He also tallied four service aces along with 36 digs, a 2.40 digs per set average.

Both Falcons will lead their team in the program's first-ever GNAC Tournament appearance on Tuesday night. Albertus heads to Wentworth to take on the Leopards in the first round of the postseason tournament. The winner of that match will head to Nashua, N.H. on Thursday to take on top-seeded Rivier in the GNAC Semifinals.
