Despite a solo home run by Brittney Urciuoli (Newington, Conn.), the Albertus Magnus softball team fell to Suffolk 3-2 in the second game of the GNAC double-header on Saturday.

Urciuoli registered the Falcons' lone hit of the ballgame as she finished the contest 1-for-2.

Suffolk's Alicia Gonnella threw five innings, while allowing one hit and two runs scored, while striking out five. Sarah Chasse came in and registered the victory as she threw the final two innings, while walking one and striking out two batters.

Albertus took a 2-1 lead with a run in the fifth and a run in the sixth inning as Urciuoli recorded her first career home run. Suffolk tied the game and took a one-run lead in the bottom of the frame to secure the league victory.

Danielle Thuerling (Wallingford, Conn.) pitched six innings, while allowing six hits and three runs. She also hit two batters.
