In game one of the Tuesday night doubleheader, the Albertus Magnus softball team downed the College of New Rochelle 13-0 in five innings. Led by a 3-for-4 performance from Danielle Figueroa (Bridgeport, Conn.), including a home run and a double, the Falcons scored 13 runs on 17 hits and two New Rochelle errors.

Freshman pitcher Jackie Medina (Bridgeport, Conn.) threw a one-hitter as she struck out 11 of 18 batters that she faced. Medina walked two in the contest as she improved to 5-7 on the year.

Freshman Alyssa Puccilli (Milford, Conn.) finished the game 5-for-5 with three RBI, while Leyna Andren (Manahawkin, N.J.), Jamie Vesciglio (Stratford, Conn.) and Melissa Manning (Milford, Conn.) each chipped in with two hits apiece.

Brianna Lord (Westerly, R.I.) added two RBI to the Falcons' tally.
