With a run in the top of the seventh inning, the Suffolk University Rams edged the Albertus Magnus softball team 2-1 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play on Wednesday night.

Veronica Hribko (East Haven, Conn.) went 2-for-2 for the Falcons, while Elaina Maio (West Haven, Conn.) added a hit and a run for the Falcons.

Jackie Medina (Bridgeport, Conn.) took the loss on the hill as she gave up two earned runs on seven hits and four walks. She also struck out three batters.

Gonnella earned the win after throwing 5.2 innings.  She gave up one unearned run, while she struck out five and allowed two hits. Suffolk's McAndrews finished the game 3-for-4.
