With a 6-5 win in game two of the Falcons' Monday evening doubleheader, the Albertus Magnus softball team ended the 2013 season with a 16-22 overall record and a 9-15 showing in GNAC play.

Albertus jumped ahead with three runs in the first inning as Veronica Hribko (East Haven, Conn.) led off the frame with a single to center.  Back-to-back triples by Elaina Maio (West Haven, Conn.) and Isabel Lopez (West Haven, Conn.) gave the Falcons a 2-0 lead.  Gilmary Gonzalez (New Britain, Conn.) added an RBI single to extend the Falcons' lead to three.

Emmanuel cut into the Falcons' lead with an inside-the-park home run down, Davis' fourth homer of the year.  An RBI single by Davis in the second inning made the score 3-2.

Albertus answered with two more runs in the third inning to take a 5-2 lead.  Both runs were unearned after the Saints made a pair of errors in the frame.  A solo home run by Jenna Marcello in the third inning made the score 5-3.

Jackie Medina (Bridgeport, Conn.) pitched a 1-2-3 seventh to preserve her second win of the night for Albertus.
