The Albertus Magnus softball team will be the third seed in the 2015 ECAC Division III New England Championship, which is set to start on Wednesday afternoon.  The Falcons will take on sixth-seeded Newbury College on Wednesday with the game's time and location to be determined.

The tournament is a six-team field with a single-elimination format in the first round (Wednesday) and a double-elimination tournament on Saturday and Sunday for the teams that advance to weekend play.

Brandeis (17-14) was picked as the No. 1 seed, while the University of Southern Maine (23-18) was picked No. 2.  Both teams will receive byes in the first round.

Also playing on Wednesday, May 6 is  No. 4 Suffolk University (24-14) as the Rams will host No. 5 Becker College (20-14).

The first-round winners will advance to the semifinals on Saturday, May 9 at Brandeis. The winner of Suffolk and Becker will face Brandeis in one semifinal and the winner of Albertus and Newbury will meet Southern Maine in the other.  The bracket is below.
