Winthrop, Mass. - Junior Kristen Cunning (Hoboken, N.J.) of the Albertus Magnus College softball team has been named this week's Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Corvias Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the league Monday afternoon.

Cunning won all three of her starts this week (three complete games), including wins over Anna Maria (W, 10-2), Rivier (W, 5-0) and Regis (Mass.) (W, 17-2). She posted a 0.39 ERA (four runs) with 18 strikeouts in 18.0 innings pitched while surrendering just 12 hits and 10 walks. Cunning also helped herself at the plate, collecting a .524 (11-of-21) batting average with six runs scored, nine RBI and belted her first career home run in the win over Rivier.

Albertus Magnus returns to the diamond this week with a pair of home contests against Coast Guard and Johnson & Wales. The Falcons will also face Saint Joseph's of Maine on the road on Sunday.
