  • JWU countered the Falcons in the bottom half of the third by doubling its lead, 6-3, following a one-run inning.
  • Albertus recorded a big fourth inning at the plate, loading the bases behind a pair of singles from Arent and Kerrs and a forced walk by Isabelle Smith (Meriden, Conn.). Following a forced out at home, Saldivar and Janelle Franklin (Middletown, Conn.) kept the Falcons' offense alive with back-to-back hits that allowed Smith and Kerrs to score, bringing the score to 6-5.
  • However, JWU scored 11 runs in the bottom of the fourth behind nine hits and a Falcon error to take a commanding 17-5 lead over the visitors.
