KISSIMMEE, Fla. — The Albertus Magnus College softball team fell to Plymouth State University, 4-0, and Ripon College, 2-1, at The Spring Games on Thursday.
Julianna Petruzziello (West Haven, Conn.) crossed the plate for the Falcons off a double by Amanda Savinelli (New Haven, Conn.) in the third inning to give Albertus a 1-0 lead against Ripon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Skylar Arent (Ridgefield, Conn.) pitched three scoreless innings until two RBI singles by the Panthers broke the 0-0 deadlock in the fourth frame. Jade Guertin doubled to lead off the inning before being sent home by Abby Kenison for the first run of the night.
- Albertus had a chance to put a run on the board after Colleen Edwards (Clinton, Conn.) walked and Isabelle Smith (Meriden, Conn.) singled to put a pair of Falcons on the bags in the fifth inning but a strike and two groundouts allowed Plymouth State to get out the inning.
- Plymouth State scored on back-to-back hits in the sixth inning.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Petruzziello led off the top of the third after getting hit by the pitch and advanced to second base two batters with a bunt single by Paige Scheid (Cedar Grove, N.J. ) before Savinelli hit a two-bagger to left field to send Petruzziello home.
- After walking to lead off the bottom of the frame, Sydney Swanson evened the score to 1-1 after Mikaela Lawrence reached first on a fielder's choice as Savinelli and Edwards retired Abrianna Anderson at second.
- Lawrence scored two batters later to take the lead in the third inning.
- In the next frame, Annabelle Jabs (East Hartland, Conn.) retired three straight with a pop-up to Edwards at second base and fly balls to centerfielder Hailey Laforte (Branford, Conn.) and left fielder Alexis Enjem (Derby, Conn.).
- The Falcons had a chance to tie the game up in the sixth inning after Edwards stole third and Smith advanced to second with a pair of outs on the board, but Ripon retired the next batter with a fly out to right field,
