The Albertus Magnus women's basketball team used a 6-0 run in the final two minutes to come back from a 14-point deficit to defeat Sage 66-60 on Thursday night in non-conference play. With the win, the Falcons improve to 17-5 on the year to mark the first season with 17 victories since 2002-03 when Albertus finished 17-9.

Junior Nicole Acerra (East Haven, Conn.) hit a pair of free throws with 2:08 left in regulation to give the Falcons a 61-60 lead. Kendrea Walker (New Haven, Conn.), who finished the contest with a game-high 24 points and 18 rebounds, added a lay-up and a free throw to pace the Falcons and secure the non-league victory.

Acerra finished the night with her second-straight game in double figures as she scored 11 points, while sophomore Annie Sutila (Bridgeport, Conn.) added 10.

The Falcons went into the locker room down 36-27 after shooting just 27.3% from the floor in the opening half.

Walker came out in the second half to lift the Falcons as she registered 11 points and 10 rebounds in the second frame.

Annie Raucci (Milford, Conn.) added eight points and eight rebounds for the Falcons.

Sage (7-14) was 8-of-24 from behind the arc in the contest. The Gators were led by Chelsea Martin with 16 points, while Eric Houle added 16 points as she hit four 3-pointers on the night.

The Falcons' largest lead of the night came when the buzzer sounded, while Sage blew a 14-point lead, one that they held less than three minutes before intermission.

Albertus will host Simmons College on Tuesday, Feb. 12 in a 7:00 p.m. Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match-up. Tuesday's game will also serve as the Falcons' Play 4Kay night as the program will be raising money and awareness for the Kay Yow Foundation in memory of legendary Division I head coach Kay Yow. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the GNAC contest.
