The Albertus Magnus women's basketball team dropped a 77-52 decision to top-seeded Emmanuel College on Tuesday night in the Quarterfinal Round of the 2015 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament.  With the loss, the Falcons finish the season with an overall record of 11-15.

With the first-round win, the Saints (17-9) will advance to the GNAC Tournament semifinal round where they will face fourth-seeded Suffolk University.

The Falcons held an early 8-5 lead thanks to Olivia Bolden (South Winsor, Conn.) and Olivia Sutherland (Wallingford, Conn.), but the Saints quickly answered and tied the score at eight before taking the lead.  The Saints put together a 9-3 run to take a nine-point lead midway through the first half before the host team jumped out to a 29-17 lead minutes later.

At the half, the Falcons trailed 46-25.

Bolden and junior Kelsey Pendagast (Shelton, Conn.) combined for 18 of the Falcons' 25 first-half points.

The Saints did not give up the lead the rest of the way and secured the victory with a late 10-6 run en route to the 25-point victory.

Higgins finished the night with a team-high 21 points to go along with five rebounds.  Bolden capped her freshman campaign with a double-double on 22 points and 10 rebounds.  Pendagast finished the night with 18 points and eight boards for the Falcons.

The Falcons are now 10-14 all-time in GNAC Tournament action.
