Falcons Use Balanced Attack to Down Rivier 64-55

Nashua, N.H. – Junior forward Olivia Bolden (South Windsor, Conn.) scored a game-high 23 points and game-high 13 rebounds to lead a balanced Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team attack past host Rivier University, 64-55, on Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play.

The Falcons had four players in double figures and used an 9-2 run to close out the victory to end the contest.  Senior guard Liz Falcigno (Wallingford, Conn.) scored 14 points and pulled down 10 rebounds.  Junior guards Kiki Epps (Norwalk, Conn.) and Angelina Piccirillo (Naugatuck, Conn.) each scored in double figures with 10 and 11 points respectively.

Rivier University was led by a trio of seniors.  Caitlyn Perry (Nashua, N.H.) had a team-high 17 points with 8 rebounds, Caitlyn Bulger (Quincy, Mass.) added 15 points, and Rebecca Debaldo (Pelham, N.H.) add a team-high 10 boards with 7 points.

In the fourth quarter, Albertus Magnus closed the game on a 9-2 run to take the 64-55 victory. The Falcons made 9 free throws to seal the win.  The Falcons improved to (7-5, 2-1 GNAC) while Rivier dropped to (3-7, 1-2 GNAC).

Albertus Magnus returns to action on Tuesday, January 10, with a home conference game against Norwich University that is slated to begin at 5:00 pm.
