Falcons Defeat Norwich 70-53

New Haven, Conn.-  Junior Forward Olivia Bolden (South Windsor, Conn.) scored a game-high 22 points and game-high 15 rebounds to lead a balanced Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team attack past visitin Norwich University, 70-53, on Tuesday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play.

The Falcons had four players in double figures and used a 6-0 run in the beginning of the fourth quarter to seal their second straight win.  Senior guard Liz Falcigno (Wallingford, Conn.) scored 20 points to go along with four steals.  Junior guard Kiki Epps (Norwalk, Conn.) and sophomore guard Jill Johnson (North Haven, Conn.) each scored in double figures with 10 and 11 points respectively.

Norwich University was led by a pair of seniors.  Kayla Mercer (New Britain, Conn.) had a team-high 19 points while Heather Leblanc (Sanford, Maine) added 12 points and a team-high 8 rebounds. 

The Falcons improved to (8-5, 3-1 GNAC) while Norwich dropped to (6-5, 2-2 GNAC).

Albertus Magnus returns to action on Thursday, January 12 when they travel to Great Northeast Athletic Conference opponent Suffolk University that is slated to begin at 5:00 pm.
