KEY HIGHLIGHT: Jill Johnson (North Haven, Conn.) poured in a career-best 26 points on 8-of-16 shooting as well as hit 7-of-8 from the free-throw line to go along with four rebounds, two assists and two steals.

KEY HIGHLIGHT: Similar to the first half, both teams battled back-and-fourth for the lead over the first six minutes before the Falcons secured a 10-point lead entering the fourth, 69-59. Albertus continued its double-digit lead for the remainder of the game to secure the 87-71 GNAC victory.

Head coach JR Fredette and the Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team will be honoring its three-member senior class – Aaliyah Bohannon, Liz Falcigno and Megan Thornton - prior to the start of Saturday's game against Mount Ida.

NEIGHBOR TO NEIGHBOR GAME
The Albertus Magnus college men's and women's basketball teams and the United Way of Greater New Haven are partnering together for the first time to promote the Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N) campaign. Albertus Magnus will host a Neighbor to Neighbor Game on Saturday, February 18th when the Falcons host a double-header against Mount Ida.

Upon entering the game, fans will be receiving a ticket, along with their program, on how to make a donation to the N2N campaign as well as have the opportunity to win a dinner for two at a local New Haven restaurant.

LAST WEEK HIGHLIGHTS

  • Olivia Bolden (South Windsor, Conn.) and Ava Harris (New Haven, Conn.) were the only players to finish week 11 in double-figures.
  • The Falcons' defense forced 21 steals and 35 turnovers as well as recorded nine blocks.
  • As a team, Albertus shot 30.6 percent from the field and 55.6 percent from the free-throw line.
  • Jill Johnson (North Haven, Conn.) collected 11 of the Falcons' 25 assists.
  • Bolden set a new season-high in rebounds with 23 in the loss to Suffolk.
