Scott Named GNAC Player Of The Week

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Caitlyn Scott (White Plains, N.Y.) of the Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team was named Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week on Monday.

Scott put together another dominant performance in the Falcons' lone game of the week, an 80-71 win over Farmingdale State. It was the sixth straight win for the Falcons to close out 2023.

Scott scored 28 points with a career-high nine assists to go with five steals and five rebounds.

During the game, Scott also moved up to 11th all-time in Albertus history in scoring. She currently has 1,202 points in her career.

Scott is averaging 21 points per game, which is fourth in the GNAC, and leads the conference in total points with 273.

Scott has scored in double digits in all 13 games this season as the first-place Falcons will head into 2024 at 10-3 and 2-0 in the GNAC.

Scott is the second Falcon to win the award. Jakara Murray-Leach (Norwalk, Conn.) was honored with the award earlier this season.
