The Albertus Magnus women's lacrosse team fell to the University of Saint Joseph 22-7 on Saturday afternoon in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match-up at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, Conn.

USJ (3-2, 1-2 GNAC) was led by Dayna Gambino who finished the game with seven goals and 10 points to tie single-game records for the Blue Jays.  The Falcons (1-8, 0-5) were led by Jenny Luna (Brentwood, N.Y.) with three goals.

Gambino scored her first goal of the contest to give USJ an early lead less than 30 seconds into the contest.  Less than 30 seconds later, USJ added another goal.  Kathryn Zeugner also had a career-high output Saturday with five goals and two assists and freshman Hannah Lemek scored three goals.

Kern earned a match-high 10 draw controls and she and USJ's Lindsey Dionne (Portland, Conn.) each scooped up five ground balls.

Gambino's second goal of the day put USJ up 3-0 but consecutive goals from Luna, Charles and Kern made it 3-3 after 9:14. The Blue Jays scored the next five goals and 11 of the next 12. Foster's shorthanded goal with 1:30 left in the half made it 14-4 on the way to a 14-5 halftime margin.
