NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College women's lacrosse team dropped its Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) and home opener to the visiting Lasers of Lasell University, 14-1, Thursday evening at Celentano Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lasell opened regulation with the early 1-0 lead following a man-down goal from Emily Chapdelaine just four minutes in.
- Less than a minute later, Albertus' Alexandra Barrett (Northford, Conn.) evened the score at 1-1, tallying her first goal of the season on a man-up opportunity.
- Senior Keegan Riccio (West Haven, Conn.) picked up the assist on Barrett's goal after winning the draw control at 10:27.
- The Lasers closed out the first quarter with a three-goal advantage, 4-1, over the Falcons, as the visitors scored three unanswered goals from three different scorers.
- Albertus saw its deficit grow to double-digits, 12-1, heading into halftime after Lasell outscored the hosts 8-0 in the second quarter.
- It was a defensive battle between the Falcons and Lasers as neither team was unable to find the back of the net in the third quarter, and the score remained at 12-1.
- The defensive battle continued into the fourth and final quarter as the Falcons' backline held the Lasers to a pair of goals, bringing the final score to 14-1.
- Falcon keeper Kelly Musante (Wallingford, Conn.) finished the evening tallying 12 saves, while Lasell's Joy Sayah recorded six saves and her first win of the spring season.

- Along with Riccio, Amanda McGeehan (Milford, Conn.) posted a team-high four shots.
- Five different players registered a caused turnover for the Falcons.
