Danielle Figueroa (Bridgeport, Conn.) tallied three points with the game-winning goal and her record-breaking assist to lead the Albertus Magnus women's soccer team to a 4-0 victory over Norwich University in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action on Saturday.

With her 14th career assist in the 84th minute, Figueroa became the all-time leader in assists for the Albertus Magnus women's soccer program. Prior to today's contest, the senior was tied with Sam Gigliotti (2007-10) with 13 as Figueroa now has three assists this season.

In the 16th minute, Figueroa got the rebound off of her own shot and drilled the ball into the back of the net, scoring her fourth goal of the year. Shelley Mirmina (Milford, Conn.) extended the Falcons' lead in the 22nd minute as she fired a free kick from 20-yards out into the net. Her shot hit the keeper's hands but snuck into the net at the near post. For Mirmina, it was her team-leading sixth goal of the year.

The Falcons went into halftime with a 2-0 lead before Shannon Skidmore (Terryville, Conn.) got in on the scoring action. In the 57th minute of play, Skidmore headed the ball into the net off of a corner kick by senior Kelly Marchitto (West Haven, Conn.). Marchitto placed the ball perfectly into the box for Skidmore, who scored her fifth goal of the year. For Marchitto, it was her team-leading sixth assist of 2012.

Amanda Roke (Cheshire, Conn.) capped the Falcons' scoring efforts in the 84th minute as Figueroa fed her the ball in the box, where she turned and scored her fifth goal of the season.

Albertus goalkeeper Christina Dineson (Milford, Conn.) made six stops in net for the Falcons, while Allison Hull allowed all four goals and recorded seven saves on the afternoon. The Falcons outshot the Cadets 18-9, including a 9-2 clip in the second half, while they also held a 5-0 advantage in corner kicks.

The Falcons will return to action on Wednesday as they travel to Saint Joseph's College of Maine for a 3:30 p.m. contest. The Monks are 4-2-1 overall this season and 1-2-1 in GNAC play.
