The Albertus Magnus women's soccer team used two second-half goals to defeat Mount Ida 2-0 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play on Wednesday night. With one goal in the contest, Danielle Figueroa (Bridgeport, Conn.) became the all-time leader in points in Albertus Magnus women's soccer program history with 77.

Her goal against the Mustangs tied the Falcons' all-time goals scored record with 31, a record set by Sam Gigliotti (2007-10). On Sept. 29, Figueroa earned the program's assist record as she now has 15 for the Falcons.

After a scoreless first half of play, Albertus junior Amanda Roke (Cheshire, Conn.) put the Falcons on the board with the eventual game winner in the 81st minute. Roke drilled a free kick from about 11 yards out to give the Falcons the lead. For Roke, it was her seventh goal of the season, while it was the 18th of her career.

Figueroa scored her record-tying goal in the 86th minute to extend the Falcons' lead. Both goals by the Falcons were unassisted. Figueroa now has 77 points on 31 goals and 15 assists in her career.

Albertus (11-3-2, 7-2-2 GNAC) outshot the Mustangs 17-7 on the night, including a 9-2 clip in the second half of play. With the loss, the Mustangs fell to 4-10-1 on the year and 1-9-1 in GNAC action. The Falcons also held a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Christina Dineson (Milford, Conn.) made five stops in net for the Falcons as she picked up her 11th win of the season. Samantha Basler recorded four saves in 90 minutes of work for the Mustangs.

Albertus will return to action on Saturday afternoon when the Falcons host Emmanuel College at 1:00 p.m. in a key GNAC match-up.
