LINK: Complete GNAC Release

Winthrop, Mass. – Albertus Magnus College senior Angelina Piccirillo (Naugatuck, Conn.) and junior Lexie Fenn (Oakville, Conn.) both earned All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) honors as announced by the league office on Monday. Piccirillo was named to the second team, while Fenn landed on the third team.

The GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team was also announced on Monday and freshman Samantha Valentine represented the Falcons on the squad. Valentine had a solid first season on campus for Albertus Magnus, appearing in 11 games for the Falcons as a forward.

Piccirillo ends her stellar career with the Falcons earning all-conference accolades for the third time. She earned first team honors as a junior and landed on second team as a freshman. Piccirillo's two-assist performance at Rivier University back on Sept. 22 landed her atop the programs' all-time list with 18 helpers for her career. She also has netted three goals and posted a career-high seven assists for 13 points, ranking her first on the team along with freshman Sophia Austin (East Hartford, Conn.). She recorded five multi-point games this fall for the Falcons, including a season-high three points at Suffolk.

Fenn earns league-wide recognition for the first time in career thanks to a league-high 126 saves and a 1.79 goals-against average. She closes out the fall ranking second in the league with a .829 save percentage and recorded a total of three shutouts. Fenn posted 10 or more saves in net at five different occasions as well as posted two 20-save performances, including a career-high 21 saves against Johnson & Wales in the GNAC quarterfinal.

Founded in 1995, the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) is an NCAA Division III association made up of 13 member institutions and over 3,000 student-athletes across the New England region. Each year, the GNAC sponsors and administers 20 championships, while balancing academic integrity, athletic opportunities and community involvement.
