HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons erupted out of the gate, pelting Mariners' goalkeeper Gemma Landry with a barrage of shots. Jordan Kikosicki (East Haven, Conn.) and Ejalam Bravo (New Britain, Conn.) fired off shots that were deflected by Landry. Less than thirty seconds later, Ismaili took a perfect pass from McGeehan and sent a laser into the back corner of the net for her first goal of the season and the Falcons' first score of the 2022 campaign.

Despite an offensive showcase for the remainder of the first half that saw the Falcons rip off an additional 12 shots, the hosts were unable to cushion their advantage, and the teams transitioned into the halftime break with Albertus ahead, 1-0.

The blue-and-white came out of halftime with another blistering attack, picking up right where they left off with four shots and two corner kicks over the first 17 minutes.

A Mariners' miscue in the 64th minute resulted in a Falcons' corner kick. A Riccio corner sailed through the box before Rosikiewicz connected and sent a perfect shot past the fingertips of Landry for the Falcons' second goal of the night and her first goal of the season.

With a commanding 2-0 lead, the Falcons controlled the action for the remainder of the match, taking an additional 11 shots and four corner kicks to convincingly seal the deal for their first victory of the 2022 season.
