Men's And Women's Swimming Compete In First Day Of GNAC Championships

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Albertus Magnus College men's and women's swimming team competed in the first day of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Swimming and Diving Championships on Friday. The women's team is currently in eighth place with 56 points. The men's team is in sixth place with three points.

On the women's side Maria Estrada (Guatemala City, Guatemala) finished in fifth place in the finals of the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:17.85

In the women's 1,000 yard freestyle, Sophie Olander (Amston, Conn.) finished 9th with a time of 12:58.48.

On the men's side, Malachi Blatchley (Hamden, Conn.) finished sixth in the men's 200 yard freestyle at 2:02.83.
